When I was younger I believed running away was my only option. I found myself living in some cardboard box in an alley behind a hotel, panhandling so the man I was with could buy some crack. I wanted to go home, I wanted to go back but it didn't seem possible until one faithful day the police came. They let us both go but I pulled one aside and told him I wanted to go home.
Of course it's hard hurting someone you love so badly and then trying to ask for forgiveness but at least try.

Heart breaking song!thanks to the singer&composer i was able to relate at some point.it reminds me how my dad loves me the best way he could.that alone makes me that lucky!

a couple weeks ago my dad lost his battle with cancer and i never got the chance see him because i live in tennesee and he lived in Las Vegas Nevada. After his death i felt awful for not being there for him. I was on my way home from work the other morning and heard this song for the first time on the radio and the words "It doesnt matter what you've done I still love you" and the whole song actually made me cry hoping he knew i loved him and hoped he forgave me for not being able to be there.

I love this song. Its so sweet and just amazing. I haven't found a JMC song that I don't like. AMAZING JOB!
