Having 999 HP, 999 MP, a speed of 50, a physical attack of 99, and a magic attack of 99 seems like you'd have to use a Gameshark or the related in order to have. It turns out that it's entirely possible to have such stats without cheating, rather, exploiting a weakness/design flaw in the game. When the stat-raiser is a mime, used to raise magic attack (the only worthy way to do so), the process for phase 1 is unchanged but phase 2 is significantly different. The nature of the mime is what makes it so bad and annoying but there is a way to work around some of these annoyances and limitations. Despite being the most crippling status effect, frog on the mime works wonders! It is advised that you don't go all the way out to level 99 with 99 exp - this can take a very long time. Level 77 is the best stopping point for a good balance between time spent leveling and stat bonuses. Going further takes longer, but you'll need fewer cycles' worth to max out magic attack. As an extra tip, consider ending phase 1 on level 2 instead of level 1. It'll make the setup go a bit faster.

  • I'm curious as to how far you took your stat raising? For example with ramza did you go all the way with speed to the point where even when changing into a mime the speed is also 50?

I pity me for the task I set for myself. I just can't help it. Maybe if the story was longer. I was trying to remember when this obsession with max stats started. I think it was with FF6. How about you?

  • With Ramza, I only got his speed up to 50 for the squire class since that's the class he's essentially associated with (due to his very helpful "yell" skill). Magic attack is the only thing I don't have maxed with Ramza. I basically assign each character a specific task then raise the stats for that character accordingly. If you watch the "Max stats guide Fastest" series, you'll see, in the first segment or so, that Ramza, as a squire, has every stat maxed except faith (don't max it) and MA.

  • only MA increased as mime? or other stats as well?

so the course outline would be: train as ninja for AT and speed, then mime for MA and hp, then summoner or wiz for mp?

    what's the best route? thanks.

  • The mime raises everything except speed and MP. Speed goes down very slightly, 1% for a full 99 to 1 to 99 cycle, and MP goes down quite a bit. See my GameFAQs "max stat guide" for details on what job to change to after phase 1 as the bard or dancer (the bard and dancer are identical in this regard). Part 5, if I recall, explains what job to change to for phase 2 for the stat you want to raise. The ninja is the best for all-around growth, but MA goes down about 1% per cycle.

  • Until next time, this is Ulillillia, signing out.

  • There's one more series of videos yet to come, but I need to process the videos. This series involves that of the rocket speed method, showing 50+ levels gained within 10 minutes (even as this rather slow mime).

  • Hello again. May I suggest sumthing? Maybe u could include in your FAQ some info of less importance but still related to stat maxing such as: like even if you maxed speed as ninja, if you continue on the process, other jobs' base speed increase as well; a list of the max hp/mp of each job like the ninja has max of 916hp even with equips. I'll try to remember some other stuff. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

  • Not quite, I meant the summon spell Zodiac. Ultima is learned that way, but it comes from either Celia, Lede, or Ultima Demons in story fights.

  • ur a tad wrong, PIS. in when ur hero is in his squire knight class that he learns ultima. in my psp version, i have my sub-hero with the magic attack (sub-hero being some kid named Luso from FFT: Grimoire of the Rift). he happened to have learned it when the Deep's final boss hit him with ultima and left him with 1 hp.

  • Ulillillia, I'm making a game. Would you please test it for me?

  • Hey ulillillia, as a warning for if you do the Deep Dungeon: At the end there's a boss that has a special summon. You can learn this if you get hit while in the Summoner class, and you need it to master the class. If you miss it, there's no second chance at it.

  • do the deep dungeon or whatever
