Riding in the car, Bret heard Ben Williams - Mr. Dynamite on Sirius Real Jazz and once he got to the office, jumped on iTunes and bought it. In this edition of his daily video blog, Day by Day with Bret Primack, he shares his enthusiasm for this promising young Jazz artist.

Bret, he's one of my favourite bassists. I saw him live with the Jacky Terrasson trio at Yoshi's SF. The crowd including me were laughing as we hadn't heard anyone treat a bass like that before. He is very melodic maybe because he played the piano.
You will luv him on Jacky's album PUSH - his solos on Gaux Girl and My Church are epic.

Ben is great. Those of us around D.C. have known about him since he was 12 years old. He's a gifted young guy and Bret is right, he's part of a whole crew of young jazz musicians who will keep this music going well into the 21st Century. God bless them all!!!
