I am more into the 'outlaw' country singers but Jim's voice was perfect. I live in Scotland and was brought up on Jim Reeves. The world lost a great man when Jim died but his music is still as touching now it's as if was when he sang it.

Mijn Opa , Bert van der Lee, was een groot fan van Jim Reeves... Zoals ik me nu realiseer, herkende hij zichzelf in de teksten van Gentlemen Jim... destijds had ik dat niet door... het nummer Adios Amigo, hebben we gedraaid bij zijn uitvaart, en nog steeds krijg ik kippevel bij het horen van dit nummer ! Mijn opa, mijn held, mijn maatje, mijn vriend voor altijd !
Elke dag van mijn verdere leven zal ik hem blijven herinneren en missen ! Voor Opa ....boven....
