In a small New York town across from Canada, two women from different cultures pair up to smuggle illegal aliens into the U.S. To do that, they risk their lives crossing a frozen river in a beat up car so they can pick up the immigrants in Canada and slip them into the U.S. Director Courtney Hunt weaves a human drama about poverty, crime, and self-sacrifice. @lucy9359 Well we did sort of give the Native Americans small pox, destroyed their lands, killed their children, and then built over there ancestral Burial Grounds. I think we can let this slide.
