Le V6 200ci 3.3 litres à été crée pour remplacer le 2.8 litres (105cv) jugé trop faible pour la mustang. Le 200ci consomme peu (9 a 11l/100km) et grâce aux 900kg de la mustang il lui permet des performances agréables.

I had a 1969 mustang with 200 ci 6-cyl and manual tranny that after putting radial tires onto the baby got 29mpg on highway driving at 55mph. That was in 1978 between Dayton and Cincinnati, OH to and from a Bengals preseason game in late summer. by the way, car was a hand-me down from dad for graduation. We rebuilt the motor in the summer of 1977 with 173,000 miles on it. He changed oil and filter religiously at 3,000 miles and there was minimal carbon buildup in the cylinders or head.

200's were rated 120hp at the crank

It is not a V-6, it's a straight six.

I've heard of people getting up to 35 mpg with the 170ci six.

Give these engines a good tune up and make sure everything is in order and they can make some great mpg. Of course it depends how heavy your foot is.

The most out of the 200ci I'v eheard is 25mpg and that is highway driving. City driving it fell to 22 which is still great.
