  • Why is it that none of the trains blow their whistles?

  • it clearly not as the line was first built for light engines and has only been able to have larger locos for 10 15 years

  • Where is the line to Ashburton? i saw the last train out of there in 1972 as an 11 yr old boy. You cant fool an old fool mate!

  • Oops! Who are you kidding!!!!

  • Impress me - show me your footage of the Kingsbridge Branch from 1949.

  • Dreadful- Trains hauling BR Mk1 coaches plus DMU trailer coaches from the 1950s. Final minute of so is at Totnes Riverside station built around 20 years ago.

  • colour version would be nice too

  • One can instantly tell this is not 1949.

Train formation is obviously a "heritage" formation. In 1949 there would probably have been a brake front and rear and of course, no BR Mk1 carriages. :-)

  • August 2007 I would say !!!!
