The Akha Heritage Foundation is for the protection of Akha human rights, culture and language. We are NOT a religious organization or missions. We stand for the reunification of Akha children with their families, which have been taken away by the missions in their thousands. Paul and Lori, Aje, Luka, CGT, Camillion, many orgs taking Akha children. We also are for the return of Akha land by the Queen of Thailand Sirikit, who stole it, and that all Akha have ID cards, a basic right.
When people get power hungry, they forget. What is the worst they distroy what they don't understand or don't WANT to understand. Hopefully one day this will stop.
I've seen Matthew's clips about Thailand issues. This is the most thorough, and best-paced of the bunch. Until I met Matthew, I'd never heard of this tribe of oppressed, endangered mountain Thai villagers called "the Akha". Sadly, it's the same old story of powerful cultures wiping out indigenous tribes (i.e. what white man did to Natives Americans, what the Japanese did to the Ainu, etc). I applaud his efforts and recommend this 9:14-long introduction to his plight & volunteer work.
