  • All I can say is that if you want to start calling bands rip offs then here we go.

Metallica listened to Angel Witch,Saxon and Diamond Head ( Am I Evil, The Prince, Seek and Destroy) therefore they are rip offs

Megadeth listened to Judas Priest and Iron Maiden ( Killing is My Business, Crown of Worms) therefore they are also rip offs

Slayer listened to Venom and Exodus ( Tormentor, At Dawn They Sleep) therefore they are also rip offs

Influence is a circular debate. Nothing is original

  • @cbazan66 Am I evil and The Prince are covers so i don't think they fall into the category of rip off's. Just so your argument is 100% accurate.

  • @davidkkennedy1 True but how many people thought that those were Metallica songs when they were released? People nowadays still think those are Metallica songs. I once heard someone say that their first album was the Black Album. LOL. Only true music aficionados would know what is up.

  • @cbazan66 Not very many people think they were Metallica songs because they were released on a covers album with the original artist printed beside the track. And whenever they played them live they always said the artist and song they were covering. so its kinda hard to mix things up when your told the original artist ahead of time.

  • @davidkkennedy1 Funny I have seen Metallica live and heard many live albums yet I have never heard them give credit to any of those bands before playing those songs. Am I evil is in every one of their setlists and they never mention that it is a cover song.

  • @cbazan66 Diamond Head released it in 1976.

  • dude your fucking retarted

  • man shut up

  • Crazy how metal can sound like metal huh?

  • why are you referencing metallica no offense but they suck ass, if they got a new drummer instead of lars ulrich it may be worth listening to

  • I think "To The Rats" sounds like "Dyers Eve" by Metallica if anything. It's the same tuning and pattern.

  • One riff being similar, or even identical doesn't really count as being a rip off.

  • maybe its the hangover talking, but this is horse manure. if anything, theyre copying the TEMPOs and what are they going to do if they cant "steal" a tempo, work at target? actually, that would be cool seeing matt h at target. 8D

  • funny thing is, trivium is friends with all these bands, metallica even used triviums pre-show ritual once

  • you're an idiot. trivium is inspired by metallica, they dont rip them off. soo many band are inspired by others, and try to capture the sound, not rip off.
