Lifecasting - girl encased in plaster

this lifecasting was done to create a statue of a living person from head to belly.
Although all skin was covered with thick oily lotion and the hair with plastic, taking the cast off was complicated.

YOU'RE CRAZY !! You can do that with Plaster ! You have to do that with alginate or Silicone but plaster isn't the good material ! It will be difficult to put it off the model and it will hurt the model !

Lorisio, try it and you will see it works - plaster was used in medicine for hundreds of years.

no, not really. she is a tough girl wanting to get her own bust done ;-) so one hour - no prob.

Do it in pieces (arms, legs, torso etc) and piece them together afterwards (if you're using bandages and NOT just plaster... plaster will just break apart, you need the fabric of the bandage in there too) Your body parts should all fit together, our class did full life casts and all of them worked!
