This coversation introduces us to the world of old American song.
I didn't suppose that this music was so communicative for today's European people.
Really, the songs and the texts of the first American composer Francis Hopkinson, are in some way still up to date at the present age.

Than, something about Charles Tomlinson Griffes, almost a contemporary. His life in Germany produces an interchange between european and American culture.
Not only in musical sense.
He spent some years in Berlin, met Srauss, Busoni... He spoke German fluently. Most of his songs are in German.
I love listening to his lieder.
This is a chanche for us ,passionate for music, to discover a new world.
Interpreting and divulging is an efficacious way to involve us in a new musical panorama.
