  • This is an absolute gem to watch. My father came from Newfoundland and watching this I am reminded of old tyme history of Irish county martial factions that used to fight in St. John's, Newfoundland. Clear Airs (Tipperary), Wheybellies (Waterford), Dadyeens (Cork), Doones (Kilkenny), Yallowbellies / Mad Dogs (Wexford). Heritage.

Slainte! I'm just grateful to my dad for forcing me to learn this as a kid... thanks for the post. :-)

  • Much respect from America, could you tell me where I can buy some of those training sticks?

  • @TheColdAmericans

cdcustombos@hotmail.com he makes all our training sticks.

  • What's the idea at 1:25-1:30? I understand the idea, but by the time you've clipped the guy in the chin with the tip of your stick he's mid-swing and you're wide open. If you miss his chin, you're a step behind, aren't you?

All I can answer is everyone sees something different. But thanks for the comment. :-)

  • Awesome stuff Glenn. I was wondering if you carry a Blackthorn day to day or if this is just a training method for you. BTW, I think it is amazing what you are doing for your Dad by doing this.

  • @MurphmanCometh fair question, but we are watching a lesson in progress so the retaliatory looks to be slowed down for the sake of explanation and allowing the class to see.

  • is there any school of this in Brazil ?

  • Man I'm trying to find out more about my family. My family name is Glen and were of Scotish decent. I really want to know more about my history. Anyone ? Please.
