Treated lumber is a big no no!! It will shrink with time and create problems. The whole idea is to never allow water to reach the wood to begin with. Thanks to people like you I get lots of shower repair jobs.

Hey Randy, I don't know what ceramictec said that you had to remove it, but I can tell you that YOU need to learn how to build showers, since you only have a vague idea now.
