Safety tip even hands free devices (such as bluetooths) are dangerous.
-
@promontorium Because when texting, you have to take your eyes off the road.
-
Unlike cell phone usage, which hasn't been shown to increase accidents, several recent major accidents have been directly attributed to TWD. This is seriously stupid behavior.

You should do one with people listening to their ipods or headphones on while driving. Is extremely dangerous, you can't hear nothing.
-
Umm, you are still breaking the law using your iPod or iPhone while driving. You will get pulled over and you will be ticketed. Have fun!
-
The impulse to answer the phone is there, as I am a new driver and am used to being driven around. Don't you judge me, you don't know me.
-
That's why I said I would only use it when I get to my destination or a parking lot stopped.

wow ur evil dude... u like to see people in deep-shit. lol.

The follow-up to this should be a ride-along with the CHP as they stop people for cell-phone use while driving. Zoom in on their reactions as the CHP lights go on to pull them over!
hey Mr Roberts... I think there needs to be some clarification here. The law states,"A person shall not drive a motor vehicle while using
an electronic wireless communications device to write, send, or read
a text-based communication." When you are stationary at a stop light, you are technically not "driving" a motor vehicle. Correct?

The law applies regardless of whether a vehicle is stopped at a light or in heavy traffic. Drivers may text- message while parked or legally pulled off the road, regardless of whether the engine is running, the California Highway Patrol says. Stopping on a freeway for reasons other than emergencies is prohibited by state law.
