I heard that the 27" iMac can only be used, if the input source uses Displayport. So therefore you cant use ps3s etc.
-
I'd say early next year, chances are it'll be just a speed with an upgrade of the internal components (hopefully I5 at the very least) but probably look the same sadly.
I think the new iMac looks almost the same as it's predecessor, apart from the back casing and it's bezel. Possibility of a major in a year or two ?

Update: Just got my 27" iMac...no issues whatsoever! Flash runs fine too...touch wood! It's manufactured Feb 2010, so looks like they sorted out the issues.

I'm getting the 27" i5 in a day or 2...just a little worried about the screen flicker issues and Flash performance issues.

I lol`d at 1440p

the imac is not meant to be expanded upon if that is what you please then argue your custom built pc against a mac pro and cinema display the mac pro is a workstation while the imac is a consumer level pc
-
you still would not have a monitor on par with the screen of the 27" iMac
-
it's a fucking all-in-one computer... you CAN'T compare the price to a standard desktop PC
-
I've never had a problem with the bluetooth mouse and keyboard going to and from sleep mode.
-
Man saying mac's are better built is saying you were there to see all the pieces made and assembled. You can get the same performance out of pc's for cheaper. This is known as fact amongst programmers, gamers and technically intelligent audio/video professionals alike.

I like to have at least a 14-15in screen on a laptop and to have to pay $1699, then pay for applecare is just to high a price for a 15in laptop.

Blu-Ray and a 1080p screen were just made 4 each other, why havn't apple included it, even as an option. It doesn't make sense 2 me!

i think the bluray licensing issues, is what stops apple adopting it, plus bluray is growing slow, and tbh a bluray slot loading drive, is a bit expensive to do, but ive seen it done, so apple have no excuse really.lol.
