I am trying to get episodes of Empire Road for a community arts festival in Handsworth, Birmingham from the 23rd - 25th July 2010. Been in touch with the BBC (they had copies until recently) and the BFI with no joy. Any help/contacts would be appreciated.

@loveresurrection O my god, i am at the very beginig of this clip, the 1 with the pink jumper and afro. I remember this being filmed at the old itv studios in Birmingham.

by whose definition? You dance for the approval of others then? To dance 'right' rather than just how you feel? I'd rather see someone lying on the floor pretending to fly a kite than some fool doing the macarena. Music like this isnt about people doing anything 'right' - its just about people doing, people doing and maybe, people having love.

I was a white punk rocker in 1979 (16 years old) but thanks to the rock against racism movement my horizons where broadened and I got to see some great reggae acts on the same stages and this music shaped my future attitudes and life thanks for posting.
