(IN STORES OCTOBER 2009)

Prehistoric Life is a comprehensive visual encyclopedia that explores the history of life on Earth in unparalleled detail.

Starting 3.8 billion years ago--with the earliest-known life-form, a bacteria that still exists today--and journeying through each action-packed millennia until the arrival of mankind, Prehistoric Life features specially commissioned artworks that render species in breathtakingly realistic fashion, with astonishing images of prehistoric remains, such as skeletons and fossils, to complete the story.

  • best $40 I ever spent.

  • This Book is Awesome, I highly recommend it!

  • This is a really cool trailer. The owner of it should send it to Prehistoric Channel, a new online community. They are looking for content and it fits perfectly with their niche market.

    Just google Prehistoric Channel.

  • i just picked this up at Borders today. its PACKED with info. it describes hundreds of species and has beautifully photographed pictures of fossils and artist impressions. i recently started reading Richard Dawkins so this will come in handy as a reference book.

  • This book was pretty cool.

  • i got this this for christmas

  • @Evilthought03 Yeah I saw it today at indigo and totally fell in love, very much worth the buy. CRAM PACKED with info.

  • Yeah it helps

  • The book is around 12 inches tall & with 512 pages. I was scimming though it at Barnes n Noble, and yes... it is a professional book. There are many technical parts to the book and last I checked it's for ages 18 & up.

    Hope that helps!

  • @veemon94 I want to ask 2 things: 1rst: How big is this book and 2nd: if its a professional book made for serious readers or childish for kids if its the 1rst one i want to have this book really bad
