theresa is just flowing with music! i don't think that there is a better example of cape breton fiddle and piano than right here! many fiddlers (non cape breton style) have asked about her over the years.
She doesn't have any recent recordings, although you may be able to find an old LP of her and her sister Marie MacLellan. Marie, Theresa, and their brother Donald were known as the MacLellan Trio, and they released an LP under this name a while back (in the 1970s I think). There is also a compilation CD of the MacLellan Trio, that's probably your best bet.
Theresa is still playing, though not quite as active anymore. She usually plays for a few of Joey Beaton's ceilidhs during the summer in Mabou. She played at Strathspey Place in Mabou last December, after being invited by Ashley MacIsaac. I don't think I've seen her playing anywhere since then, but it's fairly quiet during the winter here in Cape Breton anyway.
Sure wish we could see more tunes by this fabulous fiddler! Where is she now and does she still play now? Any c.d. to buy with her marvelous sound? Mary in Grimsby
Check her out on the CD put out by Rounder called MacKinnon's Brook. What a lovely style. She's the one who stood out most to me. Real flowing music.
