The New York Rugby Club's touring 7's side, New York Big Dogs, traveled down to Austin, TX to compete in The Austin Huns' 14th Annual Bloodfest 7's Rugby Tournament June 18th, 2011.
There was BBQ, river floating, food challenges, dubstep, and drinking. A lot of drinking. Luckily we were able to capture some of the trip via flip cam.
The Big Dogs took second in the Tournament's Open Division. Along the way there was a bench clearing fight in which one opposition teammate punched the referee, an upset of Collegiate Rugby Seven's contender University of Texas, and a last minute game-winning try in the final lead by USA 7's Eagle Justin Boyd. Great trip overall despite the result.
