I think what john coffey did to him is essentially the same as what would happen if you gave a bad person a very high dose of psychedelic drugs (mushrooms, or lsd perhaps). They would lose their ego completely and realize what a piece of shit they had been acting like and either reform immediately or go insane after the realization of what their lives had become, which is what happened to percy. I believe this could be a form of treatment for people like pedophiles.

Ya know I definitely agree I mean the poor dear, no one knows what he's been through to make him act the way he does. I personally believe that he must have been sexually abused in his childhood or whenever, I can tell by his reaction to being groped.
I love to see other people who try to look for the good in people if there might not be any. :) I like this video very much.

In my opinion, Percy was not a bad person, we can not judge people by how they behave, whether they are cruel, or smile. Everything has its own importance.
And something else - the choice of actor in the film was brilliant ♥!

"I wanted to make a sad video about Percy because I feel that underneath his cruelty there is a lot of pain, and I don't think his ending was fair at all."
Yes, I think too, his ending was sad and unfair.

No words can describe how amazing this video was. I liked how the song was perfect for this movie. 5 STAR RATING

@ionlysleepinpink Thank you to YOU ^^ it is you who make this awsome video
Yeah, it's truely sad, even if he was crual Percy doesn't really deserve this ending. It would be better if Percy just opens his eyes about his cruelty and has regrets about it and be a better man
Yeah I love happy ending XD
I also want to include the poem that is recited within this song (written by Ben Moody), because I also feel that it suits Percy very well, and describes his inner struggle.
"As the years pass by before my face
As wars rage before me
Finding myself in these last days of existence
This parasite inside me I forced it out
In the darkness of the storm
Lies an evil
But it's me"

Nice video, well done. I don't know if you've read the book, but your video captures nuances from the original story that the film doesn't touch upon much, among which is that after John Coffey touched him, Percy could see what Wild Bill had done, too, and shooting him wasn't just about a personal dislike for him & John Coffey making Percy temporarily insane to do so. The film suggests this, but only for a moment. Your video is very insightful. Good Job.

@the1texasmccoy Thank you so much for your comment. I have read the book, and I think it is Stephen King's best work (along with Misery.) And it is refreshing to know that someone else agrees with me that Percy did not kill Wild Bill simply because of his hatred for him. It upsets me that so many people see it that way, and can't understand how deep the scene actually is.

I really love your video ! Yeah Percy had a lot of pain, we can see it in his eyes, he was a great character, because he was totally a jerk with other and ruthless (what he did to Delacroix). but he was human too. I think that at the end, he finally saw how the pain is big in life, and that drives him crazy.

@VidalBesse Thank you! Percy I think has become my favorite fictional character, I don't think Stephen King really knows what an incredible character he has created! I'm happy that other people agree with me that he isn't just a villain; he's suffering, he's terrified and he's so young (in the book he is 21). He thinks he has the world figured out but he doesn't, to me he seems like the prisoner, and yes I agree that he cannot handle the pain. It's so sad...
