@avalonspawn This is why, for Christians at least, the entire concept of religious tolerance fails: Jesus himself said to preach even if one is hated for it. I'm not saying I agree with his comment (though I wouldn't go so far to label him stating his belief in that way "bullying") & he SHOULD keep that to himself, but remember: amongst many Christians and the Bible itself, the concept of religious tolerance falls on deaf ears.

i have the funniest feeling that this one isn't quite as cut and dry as fox states it to be. Mostly because fox never misses a chance to portray Christianity as being persecuted.

@OMYBella we dont know what he said. we only have his side of the story (and his stupid mom). we never heard what school has to say about it and we dont know what that kid that reported him had to say. typical fox news..

@Pomiferous As much as I'm loathe to side with a religious idiot, Stating an insane tenet of your insane religion isn't a crime. It's protected speech. That is IF he said EXACTLY as reported. IF he said "Jesus says all you fags ought to die", THAT counts as bullying and inflammatory. I believe in gay rights and free speech but you can't fight for any of the other rights without free speech no matter how stupid the statements.

Good job on behalf of the school! Nobody deserves to be put down and made to think they are sub-human because of some bullying religious jock. If it is what he believes, fine... he can keep that to himself. That is NOT an acceptable comment.
