A short time lapse of our car build over the last couple days as we prepare for the VIR event. Also some short dyno testing. The car made 22 hp at the wheels, but we could not get any clear O2 readings thanks to some exhaust leaks so the dyno tests will be concluded tomorrow.

  • @themasher729 Another reason for the poor power was a less than ideal intake in which we did not have a plenum. Without enough team members to devote a crew to just the engine, we had to overlook this and continue pushing to finish the car. With a proper intake I suspect it would have been good for anywhere from 30-40 hp.

The reason for 22hp is the mandatory 20mm restrictor for FSAE.

  • from the other video it appears that you are using a ktm 520 engine. An engine that puts out over 50 HP to the wheel on a motorcycle and you are getting 22hp. Are all the losses in your drive system. The ATVs that use the KTM engine are still putting out 50+ at the wheels. I have a RFS 250cc engine sitting in the shop that would mostly likely put down more than 22hp. I can get you a ttr125 engine with 22+hp

  • I want to see Doc get in it
