Paintball FPS Maastricht. First ever walk on day on this field. 30-08-2009

This was the first ever walk on day at that field, organized by the local "Paint2pain" team. We played on several of the fields, including this one, called the maze. Since I had never been there, let alone played at this particular field, I was a bit more careful than usual when moving around. There were two 7 man teams. Even though I got four of the opponents, the last man from the other team managed to eliminate five of our team (including me) and win the game. I play with a q-loaded AGD Tac-One, and this video was recorded with a Contour-HD headcam.

k supernice paintball video :P hb je misschien een advies voor een paintball set zo goedkoop mogelijk? ik word overmorgen 16 en zou graag es mee doen met zo'n event

@m4r7ijn Bedankt voor de lovende woorden. Helaas voor jou is het in ons kikkerlandje bij wet verboden om onder de 18 een eigen paintbalmarker te bezitten. Als je niet te ver van een veld woont dan kun je daar soms wel materiaal huren (onder toezicht van een volwassene, maar dat zit meestal wel goed). Als ik het goed begrijp dan zijn er in Belgie velden waar je met 16 ook al met een eigen uitrusting mag spelen. ik zie tenminste wel eens een speler van nog geen 18 op velden in Belgie.

@walthanas haha ja de regeltjes in nederland zijn echt om gek van te worden, maar aangezien je op 16 jarige leeftijd wel spullen kan huren denk ik dat het ook legaal is om de marker op de naam van bijv. mijn vader te zetten en hem zelf te gebruiken. Heb je in dat geval nog een tip voor een goede goodkope marker?

Veel woodsspelers beginnen met een Tippmann 98. Een gebruikte in goede staat op het paintballforum (punt nl) heb je al voor tussen de 100 en 150 euro (met HP-fles, hopper en zo). Nieuw betaal je waarschijnlijk het dubbele. Het belangrijkste uitrustingsstuk in deze sport is in mijn ogen echter een masker: bezuinig daar niet op!

Heb je een hoger budget dan pak em beet 300 euro, dan zou ik voor een electromarker gaan (etek of zo).

Great video!!! I can't believe you are 6-8! I am 6-5 so I know how you feel!! Hahaha. I love you marker and all the mods. Super cool. I am looking to get a tac one myself soon hopefully. They are just nice looking markers and great shooting. Take care.

@paintballjohn Well John, keep moving and use all cover to your advantage all of a sudden you're a lot smaller target to your opponents! :-)

That height is not such a rare thing here in the Netherlands. :-)

Granted, it does make me a bigger target than smaller guys, but I usually tend to make up for that by looking better at where I will take cover.

Thanks, Shawn. I used a different editor (Adobe After Effects) after getting a tip from RadenMas about that. Not only are the rendered files much smaller, I can chose MOV files (same as the ones the camera records) of 720HD resolution and the sound stays in sync. Now I'll need to find a way to add pictures and better captions in AAE, so that there is a better start and ending as well as comments in the clip. I have 30 GB of Mahlwinkel big game FPS footage to wade through and edit now... :-)

I paid 185 euro for that camera (normal retail price here is 300 euro), and I know that in the U.S. it can be had for less than the MSRP of around 300 $US. YT screws up the original quality, but I was also pleasantly surprised by the result.
