@petertownend @petertownend In my experience, one who says someone should be ashamed for being them self really isn't trying to understand much of anything, but rather, condemn it. On a biological level, being homosexual/transgender (Homosexual as referring to each individual letter under the umbrella, regardless of what one Identifies as) is no different than being straight. We feel the way we feel, we’ve felt that way for as long as we can remember, and we can’t change it.

@petertownend Two years later? Wow. It's been a long time since I've had hostile comments on youtube.
Actually, I didn't cry, but I am a puff, and I rather enjoy that part of myself. I thank you for your comment, even if it is a tad delayed.

@longmelford I totally agree. I loved this book when I first read it at 18. It was only when Ulick O'Connor's biography if Behan was published that his bisexuality became general knowledge. He was careful to keep this part of his life secret. His infatuation with Charley Millwall was only a very small part of the book, and only apparent by a forensic reading between the lines. This movie sensationalises that minor part of the whole. More's the pity, the movie could have been a whoe lot better.

touching clip!! does he get a second chance at love after his boyfriend dies? I believe in happy endings--sap that I am.
