@cswildmanlive they picked Iron man because with the exception of making a metallic armor and going to afghanistan, it was basically his autobiography.

Not many bothered to watch Speed Racer, but I watched both... Iron man was boring and had very little action, I guess the whole metallic super hero thing brainwashed people into thinking it was good. Speed Racer though was fun and all ways had something happening.
But I don't get why any fan would hate this movie :( Anime fans, Speed fans,Otakus allways asked for something like this but then they choose Iron Man when it finally happens.

Its so funny this is one of the few rare anime movies that America does that remains faithful to the franchise, yet people hate it. Including fans of the show. It goes to show that the audience doesn't know what they want. With DBE or Guyver or Hokuto no ken, those things weren't too faithfull and fans have a reason to hate it. But this is faithfull, the watchowskis are avid anime fans, and tried to make this much like the anime as humanly possible. why do people hate it?

After seeing so many bad reviews of the film, I really didn't have very high hopes for it, but I was wrong. The film was pretty sweet!

This is seriously one of the most terribly treated movies of all time. People are so dumb, they have no idea what a real work of art is. Not to mention a perfect homage to the original show.

This movie is so underrated...it's so freakn good...it just happended to get overshadowed by IronMan...which is such a shame...but I think they're two totally different movies...Still I want to go watch this movie again but in iMax :D
