My all-time favourite song. I asked Dave if there was a chance the extended version would ever be released in digital format - my 12" was in no shape, having been played hundreds of times on the radio - and he issued a special edition of the singles compilation that includes it plus the excellent "A world of difference". Those who snub at this must be very sad people, this is the sweetest music ever made.
Like Whetton, Dave Stewart paid his dues. But finally, after making 'progressive' music and little money, he decided it was time to pay his BILLS. And for that I cannot begrudge him.
Wow, what a great little song. Sounds like something Robyn could cover with profit.
