@BakaNewMexican I think there are many Japanese actress who are older than her can still survive in the industry. I think the main reason is that she wanted to settle down, devoting herself to something else like her family. She semi-retired after the Long Vacation, (a big hit that time), so it may be due to her fading fame or not.

Not too sure about the date of this video... Irregardless, Tomoko Yamaguchi remains a stunning-looking woman with a terrific personality to match. It's too bad that she took such a long sabbatical after appearing in "Long Vacation". From what I read, she's been having a lot of difficulty trying to resume a career in acting since many in the industry consider her to be "too old". It's a cruel industry, isn't it?
