Nature has some certain themes seen many times over in the animal kingdom. "Eyelashes" on snakes is one such adaptation. Not as common in collections as the South & Central American snakes with this trait the Horned Bush Viper (Atheris ceratophora)is one cool looking species from a limited region in East Central Africa. Yes, Mr. Snuffles visits to add his two cents to the video.

  • have you ever gotten any of the "Eyelash" vipers in Banana Yellow. I love them when they get in that brilliant spectrum. I was sad when my tree boa matured and his color shifted.

  • @GrogTheRed Yes, at one point I had them.

  • isnt this a eyelash or is that the same?

  • @OG035 No totally different specie

  • Did they ever bite you? Are they your friends? :D

  • @turtlesproduction They would bite me if I gave them the chance

  • You are abusive my friend.

  • sweet snake awsome i have a ball phython

  • I've heard these cuties called "eyelash bush vipers," presumably b/c of their resemblance to Bothriechis schlegelii. They're very good-looking little vipers. Pretty green eyes.

I liked watching the second ceratophora licking her skin, that's always cute. Neat how the water is channeled into their mouths by the scales.

  • nothing this beautiful could be a constrictor.

  • great snakes, man.
