I expected to have a lot of fun with this one. And I was right :D
Slow Tempo, Original Soundset. Dickspeed only where it was needed.
Well... I had to leave out the notes from some chords, obviously.

This is the melody that plays on 4 Mario Kart 64 Stages:
-Luigi's Raceway
-Mario's Raceway
-Royal Raceway
-Wario Stadium
(Correct me, if I'm missing one :P)

I chose to make it slower than the original because I liked it that way. Also, PLEASE don't say anything about my Final Lap file, I know that I completely messed that up xD What follows after that file is simply the same tune with faster tempo. Nothing changed there. I think the faster files are acutally the original tempo of this track, but I haven't checked, so I'm not quite sure...

I really enjoyed making this, and I'm definitely going to make more of these :)
Enjoy!

  • Nice!

    You're right on it!!

  • sounds like i playing mario kart again 64.

  • nice job. its was pretty clever how you added the sounds for the traffic light at the beginning of the race

  • I will say this: freaking awesome, although it sounded slower than the original at first, but when it sped up it sounded great to me. ^^

  • Great job! This sounds almost exactly like the original, and with the original soundset to boot.

I really need to play this game again.

  • All that's missing is the victory fanfare... the final lap was at just the right tempo to sound right and not sped-up.

  • More old-school composing huh? =P

Excellant instrument choice ; they are all appropriate and quite accurate for the original SF. The percussions are sighlty simplified but effective and almost all the notes seem perfectly placed (3-4 notes, mostly bass, sounded weird for me). Yes, the chords are great too.

I'm personally not a fan of it being slower because it feels less intense, but I still like the new smoother flow though.

Simple and very enjoyable. Great work again! + favorite =D

  • I was always so bad at this game lol. Once more, great job! :-)

  • wario stadium too i believe
