One of the most common misconceptions with the wii is that the wiimote connects to the 'sensorbar'. That is however, false. The wiimote actually connects to the console brick itself, through bluetooth. All the sensor bar does when connected to the wii is powers the infrared light for the wiimote's camera to detect.
@MrJolojumenzo It is. All the Wii 'sensor bar' does is emits infrared light for the curser tracking. The candles emits infrared light too, therefore the infrared camera can pick it up.
