When I listen to her I am proud to be a South African (up to 1994)

I am a South African born and bred and ESPECIALLY proud to be one SINCE 1994, when ALL the people living in this country and NOT just a privileged few Caucasians, were able to call this magnificent country truly their home and the RACIST practices of the past were officially removed from the statute books! Those who have run off to other lands and hanker back to a SHAMEFUL and UNGODLY RACIST past are not worthy to be called South Africans and good riddance! Brava Mimi!

@sumacjk Thanks for that info. I had no idea about EmmaRenzi. Can you bring me up to date on her and on Marita Napier and Elizabeth Connell. I `ve been out of the countr for 30+ years, but grew up only knowing Mimi Coertse. Any good tenors and baritones from there ? Thanks very much.

@grenadian11 I too am South African born and bred and proud to be one up until 1994. South Africa is now destroyed adn will never be the smam,e great country that thousands of POMS, Italians Greeks and former POW Germans called HOME - Yes, there is a town outside of Durban called New Germany where the POW Germans set up "camp" and made South Africa there new home. Now everyone, including the blacks that wanted their so called freedom, are now here in Australia - so much for freedom

@steinwaygrande1 There are others namely Emma Renzi who just got "The Star of the Italian Solidarity" award. She sang for 21 years in Italy in all the big opera houses there. Then there is Marita Napier, Elizabeth Connell just to name a few.
