This performance is from June 7, 2009 when Kayton Roberts visited the North Carolina Ukulele Academy in Wilmington, NC. He is accompanied by his son Louie Roberts and other gifted musicians from the Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach. Thank you so much guys!!
Wow, that was amazing. What a talent--and an entertainer!

There has been a lot of great steel players around Nashville but I can count on one hand the number of straight steel players with as much talent as Kayton has; and they are... Little Roy Wiggins, Jerry Byrd, Leonard T. Zinn, Billy Robinson and maybe a few more.

You always sound great on this one Kayton. So glad I visited you and Iva Lee there a number of times.

Would give this one an 11 if it were possible. I have never seen anyone so totally comfortable on an instrument.
