  • nice bird i might get one before i get a parrot becouse parrots can live like 20-30 years and macaws can live 50 yrs

but mynahs live like 8 yrs so it means i can get something else later.

  • Excuse me what do you mean mynah live like 8 yrs, that is stupid thing to say! My oldest mynah have lived with me for 18 years! They can live up to 30 years, if you dont like bird that live for a long time then dont get any bird at all!

  • How does one know if they enjoy being petted?

Is there any research about this?

    Thanks.

  • They would make pleasing sound and would close their eyes, also they will pinpoint their eyes if they enjoy petting. My mynah doesn't exactly enjoy petting but he is not afraid of being petted.

Mostly its parrot species that enjoy petting.

  • what kind of bird is that

  • Its a mynah bird, its a popular bird in Asia, they can talk very well like parrot.

  • @allusernamescaught because the close their eyes like they are sleeping, and they look at you because they want more! Bird groom eachother because they can't get their neck or head easily so it's a relief to them.

  • lovely bird; you very fortunate.

    .

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • Very sweet video! My Mynah doesn't mind having his front petted, but the first (and only) time I tried to pet the back of his head, he freaked out -- I don't think he likes having his wattles touched.

  • If you're not ready to take on a pet for however many years it might live, then you really shouldn't buy one at all. I bought my Princess Parrots that can live for 30 years. You know why I bought them? Because i'm happy with them and am prepared to take care of them aslong as they live.

  • Beautiful baby!

  • Does the area look scaly? It could be a mite problem

  • Given the pose, I think Beo has graduated from 'learning' to 'enjoying'!

  • Do you know if they sell them in the US(babies)? I bought two(babies) in Cambodia while i was on vacation(two months). I left them with my mom's family there, but i miss them.
