for the jumps in the original game where you could only go \down from one side, make soulsand then put fence on the other side so yo u cant jump up from other side. good video make more!

clearing mountains out and whatnot by hand takes forever

You're obviously not against using things to help you out since you use toomanyitems.

so you should throw your world into MCEdit and then clear out the mountains with that. It'll take about 30 seconds.
