@RonandJana You need to post the full name of your uncle, Uncle David Loggins or Uncle David Coe? I know that David Loggins is the writter of the song but there is often great debate here on the internet, You Tube. Tell you Uncle I love is song.

@olfartnewguitar I absolutely love it when someone says David Allen coe wrote it. It kinda gives me a big ole smile. Ok, well if David Allen Coe wrote it. Ok, you just keep believing that and one day when you actually do some research on the issue, you might post a correction. Very nice... one of my all time FAV ole' songs and my EX fiance is from Boston, funny never knew it would take on such "significance" for me when I got older... really gets me now...

No, Dave Loggins is the origional artist of this song. D.A.C. basically destroyed the song in my opinion, at least in his live versions that I've seen.
