A ferocious tsunami unleashed by Japan's biggest recorded earthquake slammed into its eastern coast Friday, killing hundreds of people as it carried away ships, cars and homes.

I live on the west coast and we get earthquakes here too. I lived through a big earthquake here in Seattle back in 2001 and even though it wasn't large enough to cause catastrophic destruction, I know a thing or two about what it means to be thankful for the very breath that you are given the chance to breath after that. I know what fear looks like in the eyes of another person. And like the saying goes, there's no such thing as an Atheist in a fox hole.

@ixonixas No BS here...I have friends who lived in these areas and the cries for help still can be heard in their dreams at night family or not. You have probably have never been in the military or served in the Fire Department but there is a scream that humans cry when the ultimate end is near, at it's worse, or in the final moments when they understand this is it! You have not heard thisor seen it before your very eyes. I have and it never leaves...adults or kids they sound the same!
