okay Ferrocerium is a man-made metal-like material that uh, is most known for making a TON of sparks when/if it's scraped against a harder metal like Steel. Sodium Nitrite is most used as a food additive to prevent botulism. Magnesium is a Naturally Occuring Earth metal that't one of the "Alkaline Earth Metals" & what that means is that it melts at such a high temperature that it usually stays solid through fires. All of that being said...what possessed you to mix these elements together?!?

@IMaDEM0N
Wrong, magnesium melts at a low temperature, about 650ºC and I used sodium nitrate (NaNO3) and not sodium nitrite (NaNO2).
