what do u mean by "sub-zero"?
please reply quickly i need these for a science project.
-
so if u can reach subzero how much to absolute zero :P
-
this is great!!!! :D this is just what I needed to finish my stupid lab report thanx
-
BTW water is not needed when vinegar is used
only for the citric acid as it is in solid form lool
-
this reaction also works with vinegar (ethanoic acid- CH3COOH)
vinegar has a molar concentration of 0.85 moles per Dm
if you had 100ml of vinegar there is 0.085 moles
CH3COOH + NaHCO3--------> CH3COONa + H2O + CO2
so would need 0.085 moles of NaHCO3
SO 0.085 X 84 = 7.14
so you would need 7.14g of bicarbonate soda for 100ml of vinegar
-
can you tell me at least how many grams of reactants you used and also the amount (mL) of water ??
-
Martin would be proud
Thtz awesome! :D Cn yu tel hw long does it stay cold?!

@kavitha270993 Im not sure, this would depend on the solution's heat capacity and what you mean by cold :)... but it would stay below room temperature for at least 10 minutes
