Depravity - Sleepy Ocean

Depravity was a Finnish Death metal band formed 1990 in Pirkkala (Little town near Tampere). 1991 the released their first untitled demo and later in the same year "Galvanizer" demo. 1992 They were able to sign in the French Adipocere Records and released a 7" vinyl EP "Remasquerade"'92. The next year band released a self-released demo, titled "Phantasmagoria" and EP "Silence of the Centuries"'93 through Adipocere Records. After this, Band unfortunately broke up.

The Bassist, Petri Ilvespakka and the Drummer Martti Johansson participated in many different little Metal projects. Nowdays they both are in a Death metal band "Psychopathic Terror" labeled to Spanish Tempel of Darkness records.
The lead guitarist of the band, Elias Viljanen, has played in many more more melodical Metal bands during the years. Nowdays he plays in one of the most famous Finnish Power metal bands, Sonata Arctica, and also has his own solo instrumental band "Elias Viljanen".

@rippinkorpse The Swedish Stockholm death metal scene started around 88-89 and launched Entombed's Left Hand Path 1990. That album became quite influential around the globe. Since the later Finnish death metal scene sounds extremely close to the Stockholm scene, its quite obvious they were inspired by the Stockholm death metal.
