Soilwork - Let This River Flow - Cover

Back from quite the hiatus, here I am attempting "Let This River Flow" by Soilwork off their new album "The Panic Broadcast."

If any of you watched my previous video you know that I now have a POD and the audio will be substantially better on my videos. Still using the built in camera in my iMac, but it works for me.

Yes, I know there are a few mistakes, but I've never been one to cover a song note for note without any mistakes. Mistakes happen. I'm not in a studio where ProTools is used all the time to correct tiny mistakes.

And yes, I know The Panic Broadcast is played in drop B and not B standard. But I have a seven string and I didn't feel like tuning the six highest strings down (as I normally do for detuned songs). I do realize that I could just tune the top six strings down to meet the B and play it open like that, but then the extra string on top would throw me off. I'm used to playing six string songs with an extra low string as opposed to six string songs with an extra high string.

About the tone: if anyone has any suggestions on what I should do with it (both the distorted and the clean) then let me know. I've never been one to mess with tone and whatnot, so I'm open to suggestions.

And one last note, hopefully...

Now that I have a POD I would like to rerecord some of my older covers that are played well but have that awful audio to them. What I need from you guys are suggestions as to which songs you want me to rerecord. I'm going to do the obvious ones that should be rerecorded because of their popularity (Ghost Prototype II mainly) but I just want to know if there are any other covers I've done that you'd like to see redone or if you have any suggestions for future covers. Just let me know.

I'm glad to see more people covering Panic Broadcast. Initially there was just BenjaminEllisMusic covering Akuma Afterglow. He's dead on if you want some advice about tone. Overall very good but I would say focus on the playing and forget the clowning around!
