Here is an original tune, performed by Circa Paleo, written by me and Mark Varelas. We used an exotic scale that was introduced to me as the Greek Hitzaz scale. Go to www.thehotviolinist.wordpress.com to sign up for sheet music.

  • Are you saying "HELLOOO" in the beginning of the clip???

  • @wownav nope, not saying hello. i kinda explain what all that yelling is about on my blog. You can go check it out of you want to hear the story behind that exclamation.

  • you-removed-the-full-last-of-the-mohicans-clip-and-have-made-me-sad

  • @killthahippie I didn't remove it- it was on another youtube user site called contragear. he has reposted it! i put it on my favorites to help those like you find it :)

  • Awesome! it's like a D harmonic-minor scale but built on the 5th! Keeps you guessing where tonic is. Cool feel....

  • @Nightowl4272 Exactly! It's like- if modes could have modes..... I think that's a good way to think of it.

  • @orochimarui2 It is an original tune, written by me and Mark Varelas, in a Gypsy style. We used an exotic scale that was introduced to me as the Greek Hitzaz scale. Here are the notes of the scale in A:

    A, Bb, C#, D, E, F, G, A

I think I will write it out for you guys. If you want to know when the sheet music is ready, just go to my blog and sign up for the newsletter.

  • @TheHotViolinist I love Joshua's drums on this tune. I've heard many times the E Muzeki version of this song and although I love Mark's guitar(bouzouki?) in the first half, the drums are not quite as good as in this video. Joshua adds a new life to this song. He's awesome! You, Jenny, sound as lovely as always.

  • @TheHotViolinist .There's a scale called the"Hungarian Minor"..i play it on guitar, an also build chords from it..so weird....Sometimes i transpose some Irish piece notes into a tune using that scale, for fun..Wow, new music..But love to watch you play, you're so incredible

  • @TheHotViolinist ..Tell me more of yer Musical stories..Can't take my eyes off of you

  • you are a very good player i have tryed to down load most of your music as i am a drummer i play at pow=wows

  • Awesome music - just wish that your camera-operator knew how to make use of a tripod ... if you ever need a better camera operator, let me know, eh!
