without US contribution, death and thrash metal wouldn't be here today. early works of suffocation, immolation, incantation, malevolent creation among others, are still unequaled. neither germans nor the swedish or whatever fucking nation besides them will ever come up with music like that, is what i personally think

@Patrick4966534 Agreed! Fuck, America created a lot of the genres we're now being slaughtered in by German and Swedish bands. Thrash (although Venom had a lot to do with that genre) and Death metal...Damn, I mean...there are good bands in America still, even lots of them, but the proportion of good to bad bands is sad. (OMG I rhymed bad and sad... I can rhyme. I can become a rapper now, leave my death metal band and make money by sucking the medias cock. Yay for me, so can everyone else.)
