  • @SenorCajones Then why does final cut require such tedious dicking around to do the most BASIC & SIMPLE shit? It takes a 20 minutes of adjustments just to get a half decent chromakey! I looked up a tutorial to see if I was doing something wrong, But No! The tutorial itself was over a half hour long (and still looked like shit)! LOL!

I can't even view what the hell I'm doing without taking 10 minutes of "rendering" every damn time I make any tinny adjustment! It's such bullshit!

  • @ubersteigen vegas is for amateurs

  • @dkluskick - get Aunsoft Video Converter - Convert to ProRez and change the settings in FCP to ProRez. 7D uses H.264 (compressed)

  • my biggest problem is Ive been shooting some really nice stuff with my canon 7D in 24p 1920x1080 and when i put the stuff off of my HDD onto my computer's desktop the video looks fine, but it's when I try to import it and render it into fcp that the video quality gets awful,. The 7D makes near-to-film images but when fcp is done with it, it looks worse than a sd webcam... now Ive tried many ways to trans code it in mpeg streamclip, but I don't think it has any relation,

  • @yellowmegavidz Thats what iMovie is for. Final Cut is a professional editing program.

  • I just have to comment FCP has a work flow that if followed these major issues and flaws just seamlessly disappear from your project.

  • Some people dont know that if you have to render your footage that means you do not have your settings set properly... everything has to match....try it out if you shoot in 24p your logging as well as sequence should be be set to 24p and you will not have to render anything...

  • @yellowmegavidz plus finalcut doesn't even recognizance the most basic video formats.. So dicking around with getting your files converted before editing is another pain in the ass all together! Even the chroma keyer is shit! I messed with the setting for over an hour and it still looked like rubbish! So I looked up a tutorial on the subject and it was like 15 minutes! LOL! Such tedious bullshit just to get a halfway decent green-screen!? I could go on for hours how much final cut sux! sorry.

  • @yellowmegavidz indeed, it was a huge disappointment to discover after switching to Mac. I may end up having to buy another PC just so I can use the much better software for making quality films again.

Final cut is such a fucking pain in the ass to do Anything! And it takes fucking forever if you happen to do a lot of effects and editing... Seriously, whats with having to sit and render your film every damn time you do something!? It's retarded!

And doesn't do half the shit as Vegas.

  • @ubersteigen I don't know! You'd think apple would be able to make things easy for us, but it seems most apple stuff doesn't come as easy as it should.
