A better view of the chickens new accommodation. Its an excellent shelter and helps cuts down on the labour needs, however the original pasture pens still have a role to play on the farm. Again the key with this shelter is FRESH GRASS for the chickens at all times, which is the underling fundamental of the pasture poultry model. It set us apart from the free range model, which relies on access to the outside. We go one step further.........Pasture poultry = fresh grass = better taste, simple as that.

  • I'd like to have a chicken farm like that some day

  • Where did you find your polytunnel barn looks great. This is the system I would like to go to moving 700 chickens over ruff ground was bad.(using the 12x12pens) Not to mention I had 9 waters and 9 feeders to keep running. How many chickens can you keep in that size of pen?. Do you move the tunnel at all or does it stay in one place?

  • are those meat or egg layers?do u move the shelter
