I'm arguing that the existence of genetically modified food should be left to various competing firms and farmers to increase output of their farms. Monsanto is a neo-mercantilistic behemoth thats power needs to be abolished. Slightly off topic, but whoever are downrating my comments please stop. I rather have a good discussion, I admit that I got a little petulant some posts, but I think some of you were too with the shouting that all GMO's are bad. I was just trying to guess your implications.

@zepps88 I agree with stricter regulations, but that will not likely happen without a boycott. Once the companies realize commercial GM crops are not making them a profit due to a boycott it will force the biotech companies to apply more restrictions and do more research to try to convince the public they are trying to be responsible.

boycotting GMO's isn't the answer. biotechnology could prove to be very useful in the future. major restrictions on the production of GMO's should be put in place until this technology is more developed.

i thought she did a great job explaining the possible effects of GMO's. Don't mess with the food!! Its in its natural form and thats the best form it comes in! Just look at microwaves and what they do to food. I'm all about the natural foods. anyone who is too give this comment a thumbs up!
