  • Nancy not only are you considerate to share all of your secrets you are truly entertaining. I call you the Juila Child of soap-making. Thank you for these videos!

  • @jacqklin Thanks! I have no desire to market soap to all the world, so you might as well do it! LOL!

  • the temps dont matter?!? Ive always been told that it makes a big difference

  • @TulipPEZ Yes, the temps do matter! The lye needs to be cool enough that you can touch the outside of the container. Use a thermometer if you can.

  • Nancy's video taught me to make soap, I never use any gloves or eye masks at all, so I think that we all know what to do to make soap without harming ourself s. If you all going to complain just don't watch Nancy videos. PlanetJill, you go girl, lol

  • @annkus3 Thanks for this supportive response!

  • I have made soap off and on since 1999.I too have used a stick blender to mix my lye water mixture.I also have several recipes that are VOLUME meaning you can use a measuring cup for oils etc. After years of making batches and batches of soaps a lot of folks can eyeball ingredients and be dead on accurate as if they used a scale, and do just fine.

  • Nancy seems to make a ton of soap and sells it off as fast as she makes it. Perhaps she's been making it for years and just has a "feel" for what to do. Anyway -- I love her soapmaking videos. I have learned lots from her.

  • ey dawg are you makin weed ?

  • @999111999111123 I guess that's why I'm sharing it all on here. Too much has been forgotten and needs teaching.

  • @amandavanwhore123 Yes, NEVER inhale the steam. It only comes out at the beginning when it's mixing with the water or goat's milk. By the time you're adding it to the oil, it's not fuming. If you inhale the steam it will BURN your LUNGS! eeek. The mixture, anything with lye in it from the time you start till it's cured will burn your skin and keep burning through layer after layer until you wash it off.

  • wen steam comes out and u inhale its bad realy wat if u touch it will it iritate ur skin?

  • Thank you for "knowing and showing" all of us out here how to do this. While my ancestors knew, of course, my parents and grandparents allowed the knowledge to be lost which is precisely why we find ourselves in the position we are today, unwittingly. Wish there was a place I could go along with my children a couple days a week (or something) to learn all these important things.
