(Cary, NC) In one day, 150 volunteers from Resurrection Lutheran Church in Cary, NC temporarily replaced hunger pains with warm meals, brown bags and food supplies for the homeless; turned cracked and peeling paint into refreshed and refurbished housing for families in transition; transformed a weed-filled plot of land into a thriving garden for seniors; enabled children with disabilities to compete in baseball games; and restored worn and eroded hiking trails with mulch. Church members ranging from young children to seniors volunteered for 12 different projects around the Triangle on Saturday, as part of Operation Inasmuch (OIAM).
Senior Pastor Mark Drengler said "It brings the full body of Christ together and we are reaching out to others in need
