The reason behind the usually bad sounding genesis games is because of the Yamaha FM synthesizer chip - FM synthesizers are pretty hard to program but the certainly did a good work here, sounds like the pop sounds (bass and electric pianos) we all know from that era.

this game used to scare the shit out of me as a kid, looking at the box artwork and listnening to the music.. those were the days :)
