people quit complaining about Quiet Riot covering Slade, nobody gets into arguments about how Van Halen covered two songs by The Kinks - You Really Got Me and Where Have All The Good Times Gone
I don't think anyone would mind too much about QR covering Slade - I'm sure Slade didn't mind as they earned royalties & it did help them make a second, modest, stab at the US market later.
But what bugs people is QR fans dissing Slade, or worse, stories of QR dissing Slade ^_^ ....when QR owes them their success.
I think this is a good cover, no need to put Slade or QR down or state who is 'best'.
Shame the US didn't get to experience more Slade, the Youtube vids don't do them justice.
