Don't call lang lang a show off, the faces he makes are real, just let him enjoy the beautiful music he makes. He has been through a lot in his life, he and his dad nearly committed suicide, music is a way to let his emotions out.

Hm... we did a test once in music school a while ago. We played a recording of Lang playing Rhapsody II anonymously. The majority (among 50 people) didn't like it. Then we played Brendel with the same piece to them, again without name. The majority loved it. Don't expect every person who isn't sharing your opinion to be a musical idiot and hater. That's plain silly. Lang certainly has technical skills and for sure his own feelings about music. But, personally, I don't like his style at all!

Look you monkeys, Lang Lang is an artist and a showman, an entertainer. Part of his signature is his performances that includes not only beautiful music but emotivity. If that's not your thing, cool, but you can't deny he makes beautiful music.

I guess I just don't really care at all. He's a wonderful musician if he's not performing in front of an audience. He plays La Campanella fantastically.
